    I’t snot secret that i’m tall and lanky, putting on size and filling out was never in my cards naturally. I have to eat like a horse, and workout like a madman to see any results. Due to this, I have a hard time finding clothes that fits properly, namely dress shirts! Luckily I have found a great source to get what i need without spending a small fortune on tailoring! GOODTHREADS GOT YOU COVERED!!!!! They deal with mainly casual button downs, but if you’re looking for something a bit more dressy I would highly recommend Buttoned Down, they literally carry any size you would possibly need. choose a shirt you like and just choose the fit, neck size, and sleeve size you require. No tailoring needed! They actually stock all these sizes and the prices are super comparable to just buying something off the rack.

    Get That Japanese Streetwear Look

    What’s up people people people, Japanese Streewear look…..what is it? Well the truth is, anything you want it to be. People in Tokyo express themselves through their clothes. Fro Hype Beasts flexing Supreme, Wtaps, Neighbourhood, Bape, to the people rocking Americana. Streetwear in Tokyo is a piece of identity more so than what your wearing. For me I enjoy the drapery style you typically find in Harajuku and Shibuya. It’s SUPER comfortable and I just find it pleasing to the eye, the way the clothes drape and the lines they make as well. Now the issue is that up until recently,  I’ve only been able to find some cool pieces when I visit Tokyo. So I’ve started to do a little bit of digging and have actually come across some pretty dope pieces while  browsing Amazon.ca.

    Long tees with a cowell neckline. DOPE! This paired up with some harem pants, and you got yourself potentially the most comfortable outfit you can wear. I love the fact that the asymmetrical bottom. and the way it drapes. Feels like you’re being hugged by a bed linen.

    Pair that up with this black shawl collar cardigan and your upper body is set! BLACK AND WHITE! That’s pretty much my wardrobe for the most part, I like to keep it simple. Nothing looks better than black or white or both together. Sometimes I’ll rock some colour, but for the most part when it comes to this particular style, I always prefer staying in the realm of monochrome.

     

     

    Gonna need some pants to go with these, I would most likely pair these with a cool set of harem pants, or something a bit baggy. But you can make the style whatever you want. rock these with a pair of skinnies and you’d get a pretty dope fit too. All depends on what you’re feeling.

    Working in a world, where appearances are generally the first impression you give off. It’s super important to have your essentials on lock! Having a space where you can buy your day to day stuff. As much as I love to go out and cop some hot gear when drop days arrive. I ABSOLUTELY dread buying my casual day to day stuff. Button ups, Polos, and just general stuff I wear to meetings, and things of that nature. Luckily I have Amazon.ca,! They have making a push recently towards the fashion industry and have increased their offering for private labels, which is pretty cool.

    And I know what you’re saying right now, That’s not streetwear! where are the hoodies and crop pants?! Well, having a balanced wardrobe is super important, you can’t be rocking a Supreme Bogo hoodie into a business meeting, you have you have options and the ability to adapt your style to the situation. so spend less time shopping for the stuff you need and spend more time lining up for the stuff you WANT! Shopping online on Amazon.ca has made life so much easier and I don’t have to waste any precious time searching through racks of stuff for the right button up for that pitch presentation.

    Back To School Staples

    With Summer coming to an end, for some of you this means back to school! Although it’s been a while since I’ve had that feeling of anticipation, I still remember it fondly. Getting my new gear lined up and setup for the upcoming months. I think there are always some staples that people should have on hand for back to school but will translate later in life too. A lot of my rituals and items I pickup oddly enough began back in those days, the only difference is just tweaks here and there along the way. So I figured I’d give you guys/girls a quick list of things I always like to have when back to school was just around the corner.

    With sneakers being such an important aspect of what I wear, low socks are always in demand for me. They put my sneakers in full view without distraction, pair that with bungie bottom pants and you’re set! That and I become lazy from time to time and don’t feel like doing laundry! So having a large collection of them is super clutch for me.

    One of the first things I would always buy is a fresh new pair of jeans. Now there are A LOT of options out there when it comes to jeans, but for me above and beyond all the designer stuff, having that one pair of tried tested and true jeans was ESSENTIAL! Enter Levi’s, THIS IS WHAT THEY DO! They made jeans popular in the 1920’s, and they have been making great stuff ever since! Affordable, durable, and they look good.

    Just as important, if not more is a solid roster of comfortable boxers. For me it’s always been boxer briefs. They give the support needed as well as enough room to breath and move around. For everyone it’s different, so make sure you have at least enough to last you 3 weeks, or again, you’ll find yourself doing laundry a lot more often than you would like. to add to that, not that colour matters, but unless i’m rocking a pair of white pants I always go with black as my standard colour.

     

     

    Keep it clean gents

    Keeping your face trim and looking it’s best is one of the most important thing a guy can do, and for some reason I find most guys just shave for the sake of shaving. They don’t go into masks, skincare, etc. Start your day with a smooth clean shave with this bad boy. Making sure you keep that clean look going, if that is what you are going for. If not a full shave, some stubble is good, just make sure to keep it maintained and lined up.

    If you haven’t noticed by now i don’t doing more work than I need to, that being said technology is great for this. Long gone are the days of manually brushing your teeth, and seeing as how having a great smile gets you so far in life GET YOURSELF A GOOD TOOTHBRUSH!

    Electric brushes are much more efficient that just a normal brush and they clean your teeth soo much better, this is the one I personally use. They come in a variety of styles and prices, so find one that works for you.

    Finally, Prevention and moisturizing. I cannot stress enough how far some lip balm, foot and hand lotion go. Keep that skin smooth and moisturized and you will feel like a million bucks, I do that’s for sure!

     

    All in all grooming and some basic threads will go a long way when you are trying to figure out things you need to pickup in order to look and feel your best upon your return to school. On July 26th to celebrate the launch of their partnership with UberEats, McDonalds is dropping a capsule collection of hoodies, onesies, picnic blankets, and some other pieces. Only way to cop is to order McDonalds through the UberEats app from participating locations.

    Bad news guys, looks like if you were waiting for this MONSTER drop, it’s not gonna happen! Stateside saw one pop up open in LA, After which LV announced that remaining plans for the remaining pop up are all CANCELLED! This was probably the most hyped up collab that Supreme has done in recent memory, so if you are trying to cop a piece or two, good luck. Looks like it’s a reseller market from here on out with prices currently going for $1,000 and up. Keep up on LV social media and hopefully (fingers crossed) something will change.

    But as of right now as confirmed by one of LV Client Services:

    With a rumored release happening this friday in New York, there are going to be a lot of pissed off hype beasts out there. With celebrity hype all over this, Bieber and Celine Dion (Shes got heat) being a few of the notables among others. Should be interesting to see where the resale market goes and if LV decides to make some pop ups in the near future. So guess just keep an eye out for updates, and new stuff coming out.
